Trip to JB

1st activity after my exams was a trip to JB on Sat...

Pampered myself with a manicure & a pendicure which costed RM50 (S$21)... Worth it rt since u can only do a manicure over here @ the same price.

Bought a pair of purple pointed velvet heels @ RM10 (S$4.20)... That was reali a gd buy :>

Also bought a pair of Hugo Boss sunglass @ 50% discount which amts to RM280 (S$118)...

Ended the shopping trip with the movie - 'The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian' @ RM11 (S$4.60)...

Even thou there was no GSS in JB, my trip was still fruitful and worthwhile...

Juz some updates

My long wkend is over and I'm back to wk again... 2 exam papers had been conquered last fri and i was v shagged after that. Met up with my lao gong for dinner @ Novena Sq and there was, the end of my fri...

Sat was "Watching TV" day since i nd to restore back my brain cells. Went for a jog with my lao gong @ Pasir Ris Park as he wanted to have dinner @ Fisherman's Village after the jog. We ran from 1 end, passing by escape theme park, aloha loyang and back to the other end but cldnt see the Fisherman's Village. Hearing the sound of the roller coasters when i was passing by the theme pk, i reminded him of the scene in "Final Destination 3" whereby the roller coasters flew off the track. I was v scared when he kept on repeating the scenes... Stupid me, dunno y i reminded him.. hehe...

Back to the Fisherman's Village, it was already demolished 1 yr ago... Too bad he cant have his pineapple rice anymore... In the end we went to E-Hub @ Downtown East for dinner (this place was newly opened).

Sun was "Study" day and i was v frustrated by the hot weather...

Vesak day was a day for praying, followed by a trip to Ikea and dinner @ T3... Nothing exciting...

I'll be having my last paper this fri... finally... i can enjoy myself le... :)

My Orientation

My 3-days orientation programme ended today... It was qte enjoyable since i nd nt wk and i can go hm early... opps...hehe...

1st day>>>
Presentations abt DHL...Hmm... At least now i noe more abt the coy i'm wkg in.

SOME FACTS ABT DHL:
- Named after its 3 founders: Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn (but dunno y it's nt HLD/DLH etc....)
- It's S'pore's leading express coy.
- It owns its fleet of aircrafts which are painted in its signature color - yellow & red.

Was supposed to go for the DHL balloon ride but it was cancelled due to bad weather. Anyway, i'm given the tix so that i can go on my own nxt time.

2nd day>>>
Presentations again on HR matters. After lunch was a visit to the svc ctr where we cld c hw the docs n parcels r handled. Then followed by a courier run where each of us was attached to a courier guy... The guy was friendly and i asked a lot of qns. It was rather interesting to sit in the yellow DHL van and following him to the coys to deliver docs. As i was attached to the area in Paya Lebar, i managed to end my 'run' @ ard 3pm... This means that i went hm after that :p N i manage to have a nap and went jogging @ ECP with my lao gong... hehe...

3rd day>>>
Again presentations in the morng... After lunch was a visit to DHL's SIN HUB @ Changi Air Freight Ctr. Security was v tight there as there were a lot of logistics coys located there. The ctr was aka the Free Trade Zone which means that cargos nd nt pass thru customs and cld go st into the airplanes thru the gd handling coys like SATS and CIAS. This ctr was located just opp Terminal 1 and hence it was reali a v close view to the airplanes and we cld hear the blasting sound of the airplanes taking off. It was reali a gd experience to c the set-up of hw the docs and parcels r being sorted....

A wonderful experience for me these 3 days but back to wk again tml...
