Christmas Mood this wk!~

Went Universal Studio with dear & Rowan last Fri as the tixs were my b'day prezzie from my colleagues last mth.

Weather: Super Hot which was gd cos it was raining everyday for the past few days

Rides: Nv tried any cos waiting time was too long and with Rowan, we can't afford to wait. We went on the Shreak 4D show but then Rowan got scared by the splashing water and hence, we bo-bian went out of the theatre after juz 5 mins :(

Area: Not as big as the one in US, of course rt!!!

But overall it was a great family outing!

 

Boss left SG for Boston yesterday night. Don't feel abit that she'd left but went in to her room this morning and it was bare empty. Reality sets in.. anyway as what she told me ydy thro phone, treat it as she'd went for a long holiday :-)

 

Went Novotel hotel last Sat for a X'mas party organised by Ivy & Steven. Nice room and it was big enough to hold 17 of us.

 

This wk will be feasting week!!! :) Chance to gain weight. lol. guess whoever reads this would feel like killing me.. lol

Yeah, lots of sumptuous food & gift exchange :) I LUV CHRISTMAS!

Went to visit my colleague's wife last Thu as she'd just given birth to twin :) and they are 2 boy boy :)

Big bro is called Bryce and little one is called Luke. Such unique names..

Big bro was the one who kept sleeping while the little one was frowning and was awake; he got such a mischievous face and i think he'll surely be the one bullying his big bro nxt time :p

Newborns are so cute :) got a sudden urge to have another 1 again at that moment.. lol. but thinking again, better don't have another 1 so soon. wouldn't want to go thro the process again so soon. :)

DHL D&D 2010 ~ International Nite

Was telling dear that there's a Citibank cr card promo whereby u'll get 30% off for the 2nd Lego item. Then he told me that he wants the fire engine from Lego as well; he had already reqt for the police command truck lego as his X'mas prezzie last wk.

The reason: To enjoy the 30% discount. LOL!!!

I told him then i would rather buy the police command truck @ full price. lol.

Then he asked me what i want for X'mas.

I told him i wanna a sumptuous Christmas dinner with the dining table set up nicely with Christmas deco. And i don't want to eat 'zi-cha' (cos we wld always da-bao zi-cha drg ocassions where his family or my frenz would come over)! Anyway, i always wanted a nice Christmas dinner with spreads like turkey, ham etc. :) and complete with nice cutleries. V Christmas-sy!!!

He said he'll try :)

Nice dinner with the gals @ Tung Lok Seafood Restaurant at Orchard Central last Sat. It was to celebrate Jia Lin's & my belated b'days.

Dear drove and park @ level 10C. Me & Teresa felt like vomiting when we got out of the car. lol. N plus i was super duper hungry :p

Sumptuous food and great company plus nice gifts :) Thks to the gals! Oh ya and Rowan was there too! He also gotten gifts from his gan-ma, Maine! Thks :)

Yeah… Gg for my 5D TW + free 2D HK Trip next Feb 26….. Anyone care to join me??? I'd booked on a tour pkg.

Had a wonderful 26th b'day on Mon :)

My mgrs gave me a surprise b'day celebration early in the morning jus b4 our mtg started.

Nxt surprise was a gift from my boss, Paula. A Thomas Sabo bracelet that comes with 2 charms. It was really what i wanted cos last wk i saw a similar one @ Swarovski but it was too ex; bracelet was ard $100, each charm also costs ard $100!!!

Then was lunch @ a Japanese restaurant at Central with my mgrs.

And back to office again even thou i was on half day cos they wanted me to go back office to collect a gift. lol.

So nice rt? It's a masquerade bear with purple & white roses :)

Left office and went shopping with dear @ Orchard. Dear bought Rowan's 1st bday prezzie @ Taka. lol.. It was a Thomas the train set :) which he himself liked a lot.. lol.

Dinner was @ a fine modern Japanese restaurant @ Valley pt. Menu was fusion cuisine - Japanese & French. 7 course dinner!!! Super delicious!!!

Oh and his prezzie to me was a pair of purple gold earrings which i chose while we went shopping last wk. Initially told him i wanted a 1-carat ring. lol..but i tink i rather go for a holiday ya :)

Also received a lacey top and earrings from Lilia :)

Thks to my dearest frenzs & hubby for making it a special day for me :)

Oh. dear's family also celebrated my b'day with me on Sun. Dear gotten me a awfully choco cake and Wenjun & Kim gotten a big strawberry tart.

My MIL gave me a small prezzie and it was a black & a purple underwear - the one w/o VPL. lol.. while Wendelynn drew a picture with a cake and with me and everybody on it; including Rowan.. :) So sweet of her!

Halloween Celebration with Dreamx

Nice job of han to buy the deco and filled her rm with Halloween theme :)

As usual, we had a great feast with chilli crab (gd job to Val!), pizza, mashed potato, honey chix wings & hotdogs.

The gals also had a surprise bday celebration for me.. I was really surprised :) Thks ya gals! Muackz!

21 to 23 Oct was Sales Day @ Batam..

To cut short the long story, it was a bz 2 days for me & my colleague, Lilia. Tiring and rushing.. but qte a successful event. Y quite? Shall talk abt it shortly.

Happenings:

- Lilia's passport was left with less than 6 mths validity. Had to give 'under table' $$ :(

- Celebrated Bosses' Day drg the dinner followed by a surprise video montage for my boss who'll be leaving soon.

- Finale was FIREWORKS rt @ the top of our heads :)

The BIGGEST happening was the gp of 43 pax missing their ferry back to SG on the 3rd day. On it was my MD & my boss!!! Lilia & I were v stressed when we heard the bad news :( They've to wait for another 2 hrs before the nxt ferry. Luckily, they were v kind to say that it was not our fault.. But still felt that this incident had spoilt the whole event :(

A life packed with activities & surprises or just a simple life will suffice one?

Engaged a PT cleaner for 7 hrs ydy.

Her name was Ann and she was from Indonesia.

Her tasks:

- Cleaning of windows (whole hse): 2 hrs

- Washing of 2 toilets: 1.5 hrs

- Wiping of cabinets: 0.5 hrs

- Ironing of clothes: 3 hrs

She was gd and i was so glad that i don't need to do all these stuff myself anymore. lol. And moreover, the price is reasonable.

Went Shirley's hse with Rowan last wk. Her son, Kayne (10 mths old; Rowan is 9 mths old) was sitting away @ the living room. When Rowan went in to her hse, he started crying. Guess it was bcos he was not familiar with the place. Anyway, Kayne also cried together with him. lol.  But after a while, using biscuits to tempt him, he was okie :p

We then put both babies together side by side. Naughty Rowan acted as the big bully and kept pulling Kayne's clothes. He just wouldn't stop. lol.

In the end, Kayne cried. :( The 2 babies were also trying to play or rather snatch 1 toy @ the same time.. 2 boys are a NIGHTMARE!!! lol.

Last wk was Wedding Celebrations Week :)

Attended Ivy & Steven's wedding on Thu with dear & Rowan @ MM. Video montage was v funny as there was a part where Steven who was wearing shades, stepped out of the car with red carpet ready for him. His XD acted as his fans and was shouting away, holding up boards with his name on it. lol.. Indeed special and humorous :)

Attended Audrey & William's wedding on Fri with dear & Rowan too @ Inte-con. For their video montage, they did something diff. Both 'acted' in the video from the day they met, to the day they got together. The video was shot in various locations; at restaurant, ECP etc. Special and funny too.. Too bad we got to leave the dinner early as Rowan wanted to zzz..

A funny encounter drg dear's F1 wkend.

He was stationed at the Padang area; the concert area. Mariah Carey was performing on Sun and there was a guy who came along think prob the backstage area. Below conversation is roughly what i still remember :p

Guy: I'm Sean Kingston, Mariah Carey's friend. I want to look for her.

Dear: Yes, i know. You're the one who sang 911 right?

Guy: Yes, i wanna look for her.

Dear: Ok, pls wait. I'll chk.

Lol. I told dear wa.. ur fav singer lei.. cos he was always singing the 911 song when it was a hit.. Too bad he nv take any photos with him :)

Enchanted Baby Contest..

Had sent in the application yesterday night for a baby contest @ Compasspt this Sat. Rec'd a call jus now saying that Rowan was shortlisted and we got to dress him up in enchanted outfit and bring him to Compasspt this Sat.

I'm super excited! Gonna go source for clothes after wk today. lol~~~

Back from Batam and back to wk :(

Had bfast with dear, Rowan and Teresa before our ferry on Sun. Kissed Rowan goodbye but not daddy :p . lol.. Guess i only have Rowan in my eyes now. opps.. lol

Reached Harris Resort @ ard 2pm. Had lunch, chk-in to the rms and went for the free 1 hr massage. Qte enjoyable. Then all 3 of us went back to our rm and nap :p Woke up for dinner followed by the free bowling session.

That's hw our 1st day went abt..

Woke up late on the 2nd day and hence missed bfast. Maine was a super heavy sleeper cos she couldn't hear her hp alarm which was jus beside her. And me 'irritated' by the noise, woke up to off the alarm.. lol.

We boarded the shuttle bus to Nagoya Hill Shopping Ctr. Had A&W for lunch, shopping. Bought Rowan's clothes which was 1 set @ S$4; super cheap! Thks to Maine & Teresa who also bought clothes for Rowan :) Bought bras too :), indo mee which teresa bought a carton (40 pkts) but it was really cheap @ less than S$0.20 per pkt. Teresa also recommended the ABC sambal chilli and the body scrub which was only S$1.50! Luckily Maine & I bought 2 big hello kitty bags or else we can't even carry the stuffs back. Had pedicure at the spa shop opp the shopping ctr followed by dinner at Golden Prawn. Total bill was S$36 for 5 dishes. yum yum...

Woke up @ 8 plus on the 3rd day where Maine & Teresa went for a swim while i 'nuan' in the rm cos i nv bring my swimming suit. Went down for bfast with them but bfast hrs was already over and hence, nothing much for us to eat :( Took a cab to the spa shop again for our 1 hr 45 mins spa consisting of scrub, massage and mask @ S$35! Lunch @ the shopping ctr and then trspt back to the resort to collect our luggage and st to the ferry terminal.

3 gals' R&R holiday ended so fast... and i can't believe that i spent S$230 on food, shopping and spa :( It's only Batam lei!!! lol.

I'm gg Batam with Maine & Teresa this coming Sun to Tues for a relaxing, nuan-ing time.. Eat, slp and massage :)

Had went for baking class @ Phoon Huat with my colleague, Joanne some wks ago.

 

We were both v 'sua ku' when we first went in cos everyone was like v experienced. They know what baking tools to take even though the teacher was not in yet. Had to ask 2 gals in the same table as us what we need to take.

 

Anyway, the lesson lasted for almost 4 hrs from 7 to 11pm. We made Oatmeal Bread and Chocolate Mango Nut Cake. It was v fun and delicious to eat! We were so excited abt the final pdt.

 

Shall try that again some day :)

The whole family is sick.. down with fever, cough & flu. bcos of Rowan who had passed the virus to us...

 

Had took care of him throughout the last wkend & Mon.. Sudden shot up in his temp on Sat morning @ 5am. Brought him to KKH. So surprised to see there's a lot of pple @ that hr too. a lot of babies with fever. with the cooling pad on their forehead :(

 

Now that he's okie and with Dear also getting better, i better recover soon or else he'll be gg hm with me tml night. Shirley and Kayne will also be visiting on Sun! So better make sure i'm well. :)

Rowan is gg to have his 1st tooth soon!

 

Spotted a white thingy on his lower gums last Sun :) That might be the reason why he 'LS' last wk.

Rowan can sit on the high chair!.. playing with his fav toy phone :)

Watching Boeing Boeing tonight. The previous one that was shown was 5 yrs back @ Victoria Theatre, i think... and both were surprises from dear.

Happy 7 mths Rowan! ~

 

Brought Rowan to the polyclinic for his hep B vaccine. Finally.. the last one out of the so many until he reaches 1 yr old.

 

The doc had assessed him before the vaccine as he was still having slight cough. While assessing, the doc played with him and commented that he was chubby and was also a happy baby :)

 

Rowan's weight @ 7 mths: 9.33 kg

 

As usual, after the vaccine, it was time for his milk. Luckily my mum accompanied me or else i won't be able to handle him alone.

 

Took the lift down to make pymt and the 'a lot of hands' Rowan went to touch a woman in front of him. Really bzbody like his dad... lol..

 

Aw.. Time really flies... Luv Rowan so much.. and he'll always laugh cheeky when i says he's a talkative boy~ lol...

 

Oh ya... Rowan shitted while bathing today!!!! ... oh i'm OL these few days and that's y i'm taking care of him :)

 

As his shit came out, he was kicking away in the water. So messy as the shit was scattering away.. Quickly carried him out and dressed him before i settled the shit. 1st time experiencing that ya :(

Started my wkly jogging again last wk after 9 mths of pregnancy, 4 mths of maternity and 3 mths of laziness.. lol.

 

Hopefully i can be as motivated as last time.

Rowan ~ From 1 to 6 months

Started feeding Rowan his first food on his 6 mths 'b'day' :) ~ 4 Jul

 

Bought a can of Nestle Rice Cereal @ the Nestle fair on Sat.

 

Fed Rowan his milk and then mix a bowl of cereal with his milk. Me also bought a Pigeon spoon (costs $8 for 2) and my mum was saying ' need meh??'. lol.. But i think its better to use that spoon cos the tip is smaller and meant to use for 1st stage of weaning (starting complementary food).

 

He ate and kept on pushing the hand that i'm holding the spoon into his mouth. Guess he likes it but he cld only eat a little. Anyway, it was fun and i'm happy that he can accept it. Will be making diff types of bb food ~ pumpkin puree, apple puree etc. for him to try out. Hopefully he isn't picky abt it. Today's mummies are so bz rt?? :)

Scheduled to be on 1 Jan 11, Sat.

 

Had managed to book NSRCC's bungalow with the help of my colleague who's a member. The bungalow is air-conditioned with 2 levels, 2 bedrooms. Dear had initially suggested Aloha Loyang but i shot down his idea cos it'll be very hot there. Rowan + myself wld nt be able to stand the heat.. keke..

 

And also that time drg the motherhood fair, i'd signed up for a balloon pkg for his b'day party. It consists of pooh balloons, colored balloons & an arch :)

 

I'd also decided where i want to bk the catering & cake. It'll be from e-creative.

 

So far so gd. More updates nearer to the date :)

Rowan had his injections + bell test on Wed.

 

Why the bell test? It was bcos 3 mths back, he failed his bell test. He kept looking at the doc while she shook the bell. I think it was bcos he was seeing an unfamiliar face. That's y he stared at her.

 

Anyway this time rd, a male doc shook the bell. He again kept staring at him. I was so afraid that he might fail the test again. But when dear called out his name, he could turn and see him. Phew. the doc said as long as he can turn twds the sound, its okie :)

 

We asked the doc if he was overweight. keke.. cos @ 6 mths, he was 8.9 kg. The doc said he was under the 75 percentile meaning at his age, he was heavier than 75% of the babies in SG. But anyway, the doc looked at dear and commented that Rowan had inherited his dad's genes. keke. so he's alright to have such weight.

 

After the chk, Rowan had 2 injections, 1 on each of his thighs. As usual, he cried while the needle was poked in. But he stopped crying after we went out of the rm. Gd boy Rowan! And as like before, the time to have the injection will crash with his feeding time. And hence, he was cranky thro'out. lol..

 

He had a slight fever ydy due to his injections. But he's okie today!

 

Going to start his first food prob on Sun after tomorrow's visit to the nestle event @ Suntec. So excited! Oh and i'd also went for a talk on weaning last wk @ Philips. Went alone as dear needed to work and hence, Lilia came over to bbsit Rowan for 3 hrs. She was so 'lucky' that she got the chance to clear Rowan's poo poo. keke.. i always tell her that she's an experienced bbsitter liao since she can handle anything that comes along except for bathing :)

 

Anyway for Rowan's 1st food, i'll start with Nestle rice cereal, pumpkin, banana. Will slowly introduce fruit purees that i'll make myself. Had also gave Rowan those teething rusks which are so hard to bite as they are meant to soothe his gums. Anyway, i'd a taste of it when he doesn't wants it. It tasted so horrible. lol..

Teambuilding with the sales sup team @ Contemporary Clay Studio.

 

It was fun trying out the pottery making. the one where u nd to knead while the thing keeps gg rd and rd. It was really tough thou.

 

The 2nd part was kneading with our hands an item of yr choice and hence, i chose to do piglet but with the help of the trainer.

 

Piglet will be 'roasted' in a kiln and will be ready in 2 wks time.

21 Jun ~

 

Did not receive any gifts from dear on the day of our anniversary but a nice surprise the following day in office :) Thks dear!

 

 

Updates: 20th Jun ~ DHL Family Day cum Father's Day cum ROM 4th Year Anniversary

 

Was supposed to leave hm @ 0900 hrs for the family day @ ECP but the whole family including Rowan only woke up @ 0830 hrs and the best thing is.... we didn't wake up ourselves. We were 'woken up' by Lilia who'd came over to our hse wanting to help tk care of Rowan while we prepare. lol...

 

Anyway, reach ECP @ 1000 hrs. All the games were for the kids and hence, nothing much we cld do except to chat and eat. The weather was v hot and Rowan was super sticky.

 

Anyway, had lunch and went hm @ 11 plus as dear nd to finish up his ppt slides in preparation for his PEN trip. Left hm again 3 hrs later and brought Rowan to mil's hse for her to bbsit while we went out for movie & dinner :)

Had peranakan food @ Vivo and it was really gd except that they were a bit slow. Had fish head curry, soup & 'ngoh hiang'. Super full!!! Watched 'A Team'. It was super action packed and very funny... Highly recommended to watch.

 

That's hw our day went... Time flies.. 4 yrs since we ROM.. and nw we're a complete family :)

 

And it was also dear's 1st Father's day!!!

 

Updates: 13 Jun ~

Celebrated father's day cum mum's bday together :) Had lunch @ Tung Lok ECP where we'd ala-carte buffet. Not too bad bt the svc was really poor! Slow and we'd to get our food ourselves (as the kitchen staff had put them on a shared table where the waitress will then serve them to us). She was really nt that quick to serve us and since the table was just beside us, we took them ourselves. In the end, dear had feedback to the staff and we gotten some discounts.

Had a nice dinner with Hui2 & Val @ PS. Gossiped abt mother-in-laws and tok abt Patrick's proposal to Val. Nice catch-up :)

 

Oh.... and nt forgetting the gathering with Dreamx on 5 Jun for Val's bday. Had dinner @ California Pizza and singing @ K Suitez.. 1st time full attendance for 2010 since our meet-up last X'mas..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Updates: 12 Jun ~

Brought Rowan for his 1st studio shoot @ Peter Pan. It was located @ a studio in Chinatown; those under the HDB flat. 2 uncles were manning the shop.

 

Before us was a family with a bb gal who was younger than Rowan. They were supposed to go first but the bb gal kept on crying and her parents can't seem to be able to pacify her. Dear was carrying Rowan and he was so afraid that the bb gal's crying will affect Rowan cos we think that when 1 bb hears the other cry, he/she will also cry along. lol.

 

But luckily Rowan was ok! And since the bb gal was still crying, the photographer asked us to go first. The 1st shot was our family portrait. The photographer was really gd in making Rowan laugh. He played with him and while Rowan was sitting on my lap, he was also chuckling away. :) He was so happy!

 

The 2nd shot was his individual shot. The photographer again played with him and he was also chuckling away too! So funny..

 

We were so pleased with the photos but our family portrait looked v vintage. Dunno y???
