Cooking Part 2

Part 2 of my cooking session @ home today. Yesterday was my ROM 2nd Anniversary and so i decided to cook with my lao gong instd of gg out to eat. Thks to Valerie for her receipes: Seafood Baked Rice & Mushroom Soup...

Glad that we made it and it was yummy...

1 gd news to share... Gotten my exam results yesterday and i managed to pass all my papers. Yeah, no more sch for me.. I had graduated!!!

Team Bldg Day

Today is my Team Building day.

Participants: My boss, me and the mgrs.

Early morning @ 0900 hrs: Boss's hse

Luckily i long-bang one of the mgr's car or else i wldn't know how to go my boss's hse which is @ Pasir Panjang. View of her hse was great since it's sea view. Her maid prepared a sumptuous b'fast (sausages, toast, scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes, baked beans) for all of us. It was great since it had been a while since i had such a delicious b'fast...

After b'fast was some ice-breaker games. One of the quiz qn was how many keys are there on the piano. Ans: 88... Bet u din noe tat... hehe... After the games, we had some serious discussions, all the way till 2 pm. Had fruits & brownies in between before we departed for our cooking session.

Cooking class from 1500 to 1730 hrs: Coriander Leaf @ Clarke Quay

This is the 1st time i'd went for a cooking session and moreover with colleagues & boss. The 7 of us were divided into 3 teams, each team preparing 2 dishes. It was great fun and v messy for me since i don't noe how to cook. But nevertheless, i cld manage with the help of the chefs there. All of us had great fun and after the class was dinner from what we'd cooked. Hmm.. Super amazed that we cld come up with such yummy food...

Looks good rt??? hehe... My team won the Best Dishes and i gotten myself a shreader & measuring cups... hehe... Me oso won the Best "Chef" as the judges mentioned that I went ard to help the other team when i had finished my dishes...

My activities while he was away...

Some updates on wat i'd did over the wkend while my lao gong was away... Afterall, life is still the same even w/o him @ hm... hahaha. He gonna "suan" me if he sees this sentence...

Friday:
Went for a jog @ ECP with wanting & teresa after work. It was a great jog since even the long-time-nv-run wanting cld keep up :) After the jog was dinner @ KFC (so sinful...) and coffee cum gossip session @ Starbucks.

My mother-in-law and 2 nieces also came over my hse to slp tat nite. Brought my niece, Wendelynn to slp with me but in the end, i cld not slp for the whole nite (muz be the coffee i drank)... Tink only manage to slp @ ard 5 am... Terrible...

Saturday:
Woke up @ 10 plus after a sleepless nite; v shagged... Sent my MIL & nieces back and the nxt visitors were Hazel and Eric. Had a nice chat since i did nt meet her for a long time. Also show her my wedding video since they r also starting to prepare for their wedding nxt yr. It was a nice catch-up session...

Dinner w my parents @ nite at Changi Village to celebrate my mum's b'day and as well as father's day. It's been sometime that we'd dinner together...

Went to watch "Sex and the City" movie with the gals tat nite. It was really good... I luv Samantha... hehe... Dun mind watching it again... :)

Sunday:
Since it was already in the early hrs of Sunday after watching the movie, went to Changi Apt with the gals for a drink as well as wait for my lao gong who was coming bk from Copenhagen @ 5.10 am. Gossip @ Swensens b4 they left @ ard 5 am while i ct'd to wait for him. He reached @ ard 5.10 am and we left the apt @ ard 6 am. Was v sleepy by then...

Slept @ 7 am and all the way till 5 pm... Shiok man... hehe... but still tired... haha... Was v hungry by the time i woke up and we went for dinner followed by a trip down to the IT show... Managed to order a 32" Sharp TV for my dad ($799) and helped my neighbour to buy a Casio Exlim camera @ $349. It was a gd buy for the camera since there were a lot of freebies and i was v tempted to buy one oso but stopped myself since it was not a need for me...

Reached hm @ ard 11 pm and i was off to slp @ 12 am while my lao gong did not slp the whole nite cos he said tat he was nt tired (tink haven recover from jet lag)... Hence, he drove me to wk tis morng and went for a jog...

That's hw my wkend went abt and back to work again...

Kelong Trip

I'm back from my 1 day 1 nite Kelong Trip... This trip was org by my lao gong's colleague and ard 30 plus pple went, mostly for fishing. Me tagged along so as to have an experience of staying in a kelong and i can truely say it was a gd experience but i'll nv want to go again... hehe... pls c pics below and u'll noe what i mean... Since it was more of a fishing trip, the only thing i cld do was to play mj and play cards with his colleagues (not too bad that i earned 10 bucks from the card game)... Meals were sumptuous as we were having seafood all the time...

Went to the Robinson Sales @ Expo with Teresa yesterday.

My "Wins":

- G2000 pants @ $19
- A green OP T-shirt @ $15 for my lao gong. When he first saw it, he was asking me why buy this color for him when i noe he dun like green. Too bad!!! I think the color was great... Maine will agree with me too... hehe :p

Then met up with JY @ my home to attempt on baking a sponge cake... Turn out to be successful... luckily... :p

~ Peachy sponge cake. Process was fun and JY also did a peach milkshake.
