Had brunch @ Blue Basil (56 Cairnhill Rd) with Val, Han & Wei juz now. This restaurant was recommended by Han as she'd went there last wk with her frenz. It was an ala-carte buffet @ $39.90++ and the food goes by soup, salad, egg, appetizer, main course, dessert and then coffee (there're a few choices under each course except for the dessert where there's only 1 type). Nice, comfy environment as we eat & chit chat. I had the mushrm soup, garden salad, sausage, red snapper, walnut brownie with rum sauce. We also reordered the mushrm soup as it was yummy. Reordered the egg & main course too. Delicious & filling. Took photos too and will have to wait for Han to send to us... :)
4/5 for environment & food.
3/5 for price.
Will definitely visit there again.

Upset...
Had spent the day with my mum today as she had came over to my hse... after so many mths since i moved in that she came alone. Chit chat with her and we met up with dad to have dinner @ the Soup Restaurant. It was the first time that all of us went there and food was indeed gd. No wonder there's always a queue drg wkends.
Me now feeling upset over my brother. At age 15, as what pple always say, the rebellious stage. But he's nt exactly rebellious. He's staying out almost every nite, only gg hm ard 10 plus 11. If he was at hm, he wld be seen using his computer. My dad had already scolded him, explained to him but his behaviors continued. I know that he must be playing basketball with his frens and not smoking/fighting outside. At least i'm glad that he hasn't turn to that.
These few days, he had been studying with his frens outside till very late but my dad don't really believe him anymore. My bro left a msg @ hm just now informing my parents that he'll stay out with his frens to study. My dad was angry but he said he can't be bothered already since he had already scolded and somemore beaten him already. I was v angry and called my brother and scolded him on the phone, asking him why he don't bother to call my dad and inform him that he's gg out and rather leaving a note @ hm. I was so upset while scolding him on the phone. He told me that he will call hm and shortly, he apologized for making me angry. I don't know what else to say and hope that he isn't lying to us... Really hope things will change for the better.

Escape Theme Park
Went to Escape theme park last Sun with my lao gong & my colleague, Lilia & her bf, Jason with the free pass gotten from my company. It had been so many yrs that i last went during secondary sch... Not much changes but it had bcome more deserted le. It was also v hot that day and i was perspiring like nobody's biz :p
First game was the go-kart. The kart was vibrating all the way while i drove. Think must be qte old liao. I was the 2nd to take off but came back bcoming the last 2nd. So lan sia... keke.
2nd game was the viking. Only me & Lilia went onboard as the guys were..... U noe la... :p So they were in charge of taking photos. When we came dwn, 1 ang-moh gal came over to us demanding to see our camera. She said that the guys were taking her photos and she wanted us to delete away. Crazy woman... Think Jason deleted a few and then she went off. My lao gong couldnt qte understand the situation at first and after hearing from Jason, he went over to ask an explaination from the ang-moh.
He was v fierce and was having a quarrel with the ang-moh gal & her mum who was in a wheelchair. She was saying that in the US, pple take photos for child pornography. Mad sia... She is nt tat pretty anyway and was nt revealing her body. What was the reason that she think it'll be taken as child pornography. And moreover, she's assuming unreasonably that we were taking her photos. Anyway, she doesn't have the right to demand us to delete our photos.
My lao gong was v angry and argued with her for a few minutes and scolded her to go back to her own country :p That ang-moh mentioned to him that she's gg to complain. GO LOH, crazy woman!!!
Enjoyed ourselves since no nd to pay but dont think i will go there again... no much kick sia.. :p

Anyway, our 3rd game was the roller coaster for family. A small one but qte fun.
4ht game was the cadbury inverter. Again, only me & Lilia went up to play. hehe... I was screaming, laughing & almost crying @ the same time. Qte scary as when i was inverted upside dwn, i was afraid that i might fall from there.
5th game was the haunted hse where we got to walk ard in an enclosed & dark area. Me & Lilia were so scared and we hid behind the guys. We were so scared that something may crawl from below. haha... Don't really like such type. Makes me think of the Igor's Restaurant that I went drg my poly days.
Last game was the splash. Me & my lao gong got ourselves v wet but it was fun....
Enjoyed ourselves since no nd to pay but dont think i will go there again... no much kick sia.. :p

Shopping
Had dinner with my lao gong @ Compasspt juz now. As usual i'll manage to guess what he want to eat cos he is always so 'faithful', sticking to his fav... which is mos burger this time round. hehe...
After dinner, we walked ard and while he was looking @ stuffs @ the atrium, i went inside The Face Shop. Wanted to buy the face masks initially but ended up spending $100 within 5 minutes. keke... Bought 10 masks, 1 face powder & additional 3 masks as i was 'psycho' by the salesgirl to spend a few dollars more so that i can get a pkt of make-up remover and to be eligible for lifetime membership.
Haiz... That's y pple always say it's easy to earn a girl's $$... =p

KPE Run
Ydy was the KPE Run.
We were nt allowed to drive to the venue and the only way to go there was to take the shuttle bus from the old Kovan interchange. Think we waited for ard half an hr as the queue was v long (from the old interchange till the MRT station along the main rd).
Started the run @ ard 8.40am but there was a huge crowd and hence, we walked for the first 2km. Anyway, i dont have the stamina to run liao and hence thro'out the 10km, i walked qte a fair bit. Took some photos on the way where one of it was me standing under the "speed camera ahead" sign. hehe...
Ended the run 1 hr and 20 mins later. Totally shagged as i cld feel that my legs were v heavy. Then again saw the huge crowd waiting for the shuttle bus back to Kovan. My lao gong and i decided that we were nt gg to wait under the hot sun and thus we walked all the way back to Kovan.
Think we walked abt 30 mins. We were then hungry, thirsty and our legs were aching. Terrible feeling for me...
Went back hm after lunch and there i was washing the toilets while my lao gong mopped the whole hse. Totally totally low energy level by then and i went to slp after that...
That's hw my Sunday went abt...

Tiring week
Had been rather tired this wk as i was involved with helping @ my company's booth @ the Forbes CEO Conference @ Shangri-La on Tue & Wed. My company was one of the sponsor for this event.
Really a gd experience for me since the C-level pple were there but my poor legs were aching @ the end of the day as i was there from 0730 to 1830 hrs for both days.
Totally shagged out but also a get-away from work :)

Fun-filled Saturday
Was supposed to go jogging in the morning today but too lazy to wake up. Think i'm v nt motivated nw since after my wedding as i nd nt maintain my figure. keke...
Anyway, went for a spa session today with my lao gong @ Hill Street. It's our 1st time gg to a spa and we truly enjoyed. So comfortable! We had a couple's rm where we had a body scrub, steam bath and a 1 hr full body massage. Definitely gg to have it again...
Afterwhich, we went to Suntec. 1st stop was to the food fair. We had laksa, japanese pizza, yam paste & thai tapioca. Yummy!!! Then, we went to collect our race pack for the KPE run nxt sun. So coincidence that my no. bib was 1234. Hmm, wat does it mean? hehe...
After collecting, we went window shopping. Ate a lot on the way. Had Anderson's ice cream then followed by tea & cake at Gloria Jeans. After shopping was laksa and nasi lemak @ Holland V. So sinful!!! 
Saw this big doughnut outside the food fair. So interesting!

NBA Madness
My company was the sponsor for the NBA Madness event and hence, one of the NBA players, Nick Young (height of 1.9m) and a gp of cheerleaders from Orlando Magic came to our office yesterday morning. The event of course attracted a lot of male staffs and me and my colleagues also went up to the tennis court to join the fun. See below pic, young and hot gals... The guys must be drooling... I gt a poster with the photos & signatures of all the cheerleaders in Orlando Magic and i gave it to my lao gong to let his colleagues see. Wonder hw they'll react? =p

Happenings this week
This wk had been rather happening as i was involved in activities @ wk.
Wed was "Bring Your Kids to Work" day @ my company where staffs cld bring their kids aged from 5 to 12 to the office. Me was one of the "nannies" appointed to look after the kids aged from 8 to 12. It's the 1st of a kind in DHL's history and hence everyone was pretty excited. My boss was also v excited abt hw i'll be coping with the kids.
Started the day with sandwich making followed by tour ard the company. The kids were so talkative and keep on asking qns which some i also don't know hw to answer them and hence i just brush them off. keke...
After the tour was craft lesson where they'd to make lanterns. Then Mac Donald's lunch, games again and continuing their lantern making. Lastly was dvd watching where they watched "High School Musical". Can't understand why they like such teenager show and they were even happily singing along with the actors. This really made me take my hat off them as they knew the lyrics to the songs! However, some kids were really mischievous and keep on running abt or hide under the table while the movie was still on. My colleague then went to the front and scolded at them. She mentioned 1 of the kid told the other kid beside him to keep quiet as teacher is talking.
Funny bunch of kids!!! :)
My conclusion @ the end of the day:
Shagged!!! and v shagged!!! Bunch of noisy kids... Wouldn't want to try this again nxt yr :p
Went to NUS yesterday afternn to help out @ a roadshow. My job was pretty easy; just to ask the students to fill up survey forms and to give out brochures. Qte a gd experience for me...
