Qte a few meet-ups this wk. Sometimes, there is a need to catch up with pple u know or else sooner or later, we gonna lose touch...

Celebrated Ai Ling's B'day @ Mad Jack, Peace Ctr. Nice food over there but we were all bloated after that...

Wanted to go over to The Minds Cafe which was opposite but it was closed. We 'pai huai' a few mins and just before we decided to go elsewhere, the staff came down to open the door. All of us went up, settle ourselves, look at the menu and then decided that it was nt worthwhile to pay the $$ to just play games there. Hence, all of us just walked out of there w/o saying anything to the staff. So much for wasting time 'pai huai' =p

In the end, we settled ourselves @ Gelare (PS) for ice-cream & chit chat. Hmm... I realized as i'm getting older, me & my frenz just like to find somewhere for drinks & chit chat. Nt that happening liao =p

Met up with 1 of my guy fren whom i'd known since sec 3 or 4. We had dinner @ Creation at Shaw Tower and it was the 1st time i realized that place was indeed not tat 'wu-lu' as wat i'd perceived.

Set dinner which consisted of (1) Soup of the day + garlic bread, (2) Main course - pasta (there were a lot of choices and i'd penne with creamy laksa sauce), (3) Dessert (i'd tiramisu) & a drink. All these for $15.00; reasonable rt?

After dinner we had ice-cream at 1 of the shop there. DELICIOUS is the word i can say. $2.50 for a cup with 2 flavors. They have flavors like choco stout, wasabi lime, lime + spice etc which i can say are special. The staff allowed us to try out different flavors and when my fren told the staff the flavors he wanted, she still asked him whether he wanna try first. Gd Svc!!!

Hmm... Shall go Shaw Tower often to try out the rest of the restaurants. A new hideout for me!!! Thks to my fren!!! :)

Went Timbre @ Mt Sophia (my colleague pronounced as 'Tim-brea' which made all of us kept teasing him =p) with my colleagues for drinks & chit-chat. Nice, peaceful place for chill-outs. The thin-crust pizza & buffalo wings were v gd. Drinks were rather reasonable as 6 to 9pm was the happy hr. We had a great time there chit-chatting and laughing.

Valentine's Day

Started the day v early. Woke up @ 6.30am, blindly walk to the toilet, sat down @ the toilet bowl & started to give morning call to my colleague, Lilia. As my eyes started to open, then i saw a bouquet of roses at the basin. Such a nice morning surprise :)

Our activity for the day was a 1D tour to Batam with Lilia & her bf, Jason and my another colleague, Safri.

Our day tour consisted of a city tour (visit to temple, shopping mall & polo ralph outlet), seafood lunch & a 90 mins massage and all these including the ferry tix costed only S$85! A gd deal rt? The day ends where we left with only 1 hr before the last ferry back to SIN. We then went to the mall beside the ferry terminal for dinner.

As i insisted that i want to eat A&W, we rushed through our dinner and 'chiong' down to A&W. But then, we were left only with 50,000 rupiah (ard S$6) but still insisted that we wanna eat something from A&W. We 'hou lian pi' asked the counter staff to add up the prices of the items we wanna eat using a calculator so that we wldn't exceed 50,000 rp. In the end, managed to buy 2 root beer floats & 1 ice-cream waffle...but had to sacrifice my curly fries :(

After the food @ A&W, we again 'chiong' back to the ferry terminal as we nd to chk in by 8.30pm. We were as if on the amazing race as we ran to the terminal. When we stepped into the ferry, there were nt even a single person and we still thought that we boarded the wrong ferry. The fact is... we were the 1st to be on the ferry. lol...

My lao gong & Jason then began their nonsense again... 'Yi chang yi he'... "This is captain Jason speaking... welcome onboard batam fast...." Crazy sia!!!

But it was really an enjoyable trip...
