Day 3 ~ 24 Mar 10

Bfast at a congee shop near our hotel.

 

 

Then to Lantau Island ~ Disneyland!!!

 

Had to change to the disney train @ the Sunny Bay station. They have the handles shaped in the face of mickey and the windows are also shaped in mickey. Nice!!!

 

We queued for half an hr just to take photos with Mickey & Minnie!

Dear managed to capture Piglet while we were on the Winnie the Pooh ride :)

Bye Disneyland! But actually i dun really like HK Disneyland. Prob its bcos there are a gp of visitors which i dun like and the area is much smaller than the one in US.

 

After Disneyland was cable car to Ngong Ping 360 where the Giant Buddha is located.

Unglam me cos its just the 2 of us in the cable car.

Only managed to take a shot of the Buddha upon reaching the cable car station. Lazy to climb up :p 

 

Day 4 ~ 25 Mar 10

Dim sum for bfast in the morning then last min shopping before heading for hm.

I'm back from HK..

 

Day 1 ~ 22 Mar 10

Landed @ HK at ard 11 plus. Took the apt express to Shamrock Hotel which was along Nathan Rd.

 

1st meal of the day was wanton mee, fried rice with pork chop & freshly baked egg tarts @ a nearby tea hse.

 

 

Walked ard our hotel area and had desserts @ 'Xu Liu Xiang'. Nice!

 

 

Visited the Avenue of Stars and watched the 'Symphony of Lights' show.

 

Visited the night mkt along Temple St but didn't buy anything!!!

 

Day 2 ~ 23 Mar 10

Signed up for a half day city tour where we covered a temple, The Peak, Stanley Mkt & Aberdeen Fishing Village.

Had dim sum lunch and it was the 1st time i tasted roast pigeon. Tasted like chicken thou.

 

 

Went bk to the peak in the late aftrnn as i wanted to visit the 'Madame Tussauds' wax museum.

Dinner was @ a tea hse at Central area. Wanton mee again..

 

 

Walked ard the area and visited 'Lan Kwai Fong'. Looked like Holland V.

 

Then it was bk to Mongkok where we visited the Ladies Mkt. Didn't buy anything too!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last Sun was dear's 33rd b'day (opps!).

 

As he was bz over the wkend with his event, his frenz n i planned a surprise for him last Sat nite. Had made arrangements for them to pick me at night and surprised dear at his event site with a cake. He had earlier called me telling me that if i want to go down and help, he can fetch me. But i insisted that i don't wanna be free-labor and i wld rather stay at my mum's place.

 

Can see that he was qte surprised :) but too bad Rowan can't celebrate his pa-pa's b'day together. Nvm, nxt yr then! Anyway had bought him an iphone on Wed as his b'day prezzie :)

 

2 more days to go before my HKG trip. So happy! But we haven't pack a single thing yet! So lazy! Plan to do so on Sun nite where Rowan will be @ my mum's place for a wk before i come bk nxt Thu.

 

Some latest pics of Rowan. Can observe that Rowan is starting to play with pple ard him. He'll break into a smile whenever i talk to him in the morning. Had also heard his chuckles of laughter. He has also been trying to touch the hanging mobiles whenever i put him at his playmat. So happy to see such developments!

Went shopping with mum & Rowan on Mon to Vivo.

 

Bought a nice toy for Rowan :)

It's sort of a playmat for him to lie down and play with the hanging soft toys. I'll often put him dwn there in the morning and he'll quietly stay put there for ard 20 mins. Can see that he's slowly trying to stretch out and touch the soft toy.

 

Kid's toys are so exp! This thing costs $59.95 but i've vouchers from his 1st mth :)

 

Anyway, part of Rowan's learning process.

I'm staying at my parent's hse these few days as dear is bz with his wk stuffs these 2 wks and gt no time n energy to help look aftr Rowan.

 

With mum's help, i gt the time to surf the net and blog.

 

Time really flies and Rowan is nw 2 mths old and it'll be less than 2 mths before i head bk to wk. Counting down to 26 Apr 2010... but firstly, counting down to my much awaited HKG trip on 22 Mar!!! 16 days more!!!

 

Had been looking aftr Rowan by myself for this 1 mth (cos minus away the confinement period where i was at my parent's hse). My mum had also been coming over every alternate day to help me. Everyday is a routine and it gets v tiring having to look aftr him for the whole day and esp with such hot weather nowadays. There're occasions where he gets cranky and it makes me frustrated when there's no one to take over from me.. but guess i gt to get use to it and stay calm abt it as this is Rowan's only way of communicating to me on his needs.

 

Had attempted to bring him out by myself.. but only to the mall opp my hse. haha. still can't figure out hw to put him in the sling and hence, i carried him there. Tiring and i was bk hm in less than an hr.. but its better than staying @ hm the whole day.

 

Kind of eager to go bk to wk as then i nd nt stay at hm the whole day.. keke. but then i wld want to witness his every change. like his 1st crawl etc. Nowadays, he wld lie in his playpen, look at his toy and smile. Guess he wants to play.. It makes me feel happy too..

HAPPY 2 MTHS ROWAN!

Brought him to his 1st swimming lesson @ Punggol Plaza just now. Was afraid that he might not like it but.. wow.. both my mum & i were impressed that he cld actually kick and swim in the tub. He likes it alot and hence, i signed up for membership & extra 10 more lessons @ $240 in total. Haiz..parents' $$ r easy to earn... keke

Had brought Rowan to MIL's place in the morning for his 2D1N 'camping' trip.. lol. Was intending to go hm do hsewk and nap before meeting the girls for mj @ Serene's hse but Serene called up and 'jio' for shopping since it was the mphosis sale. It's been a long while since i shop and of course i joined her & Teresa.

 

All of us bought something at the sale.. **So happy** and Maine who came by for a short while bought the most.. more than what the 3 of us bought. We also shopped ard a bit at Marina Sq before gg bk Serene's place for mj which i lost $$. we all lost to Teresa!!!

 

In the evening, Eleen & Maine joined us and we went for prata @ Jalan Kayu (i haven't eaten prata for a yr!!!) We chit chat until 3am. its really been such a long time i had went out with them. guess i sld let Rowan go 'camping' more. keke.
