Venue: Harris Resort @ Batam
Me and Lilia were on the 1st ferry @ 7.50am together with the event co-ordinators; 1 of them is maine whom we'd 'engaged'. keke...
1st caught-up: One of my colleagues was late and hence, missed the ferry. Luckily we still have another gp of colleagues taking the 2nd ferry @ 9.20am and that she cld join them.
2nd caught-up: One of my colleagues who was supposed to be on the 2nd ferry had forgotten to bring her passport. Hence, maine's boss got to wait alone at the ferry terminal for her to go hm and take her passport.
The activities were great but too bad it rained heavily and we had to shift our games indoor. Luckily, the rain stopped after lunch and we cld play the 'Flying Fox' which was 5 storeys high. Exciting... It's been so many yrs since i last played in Sec 3...
All the games ended at ard 3.30pm and we got to rush for the closing speech and prize presentation. Me, Lilia and the event co-ordinators were so anxious as the last ferry was at 4.30pm. We were counting down the time as we had qte a number of prizes to give out. My heart was beating so fast that time as we were also planning a surprise for the bosses (as bosses' day was the prev day; 16 Oct).
As i was waiting at the back of the rm for the correct time to bring out the cake, i heard my name from the front. Lilia's & my boss had given us a gift for our effort in organizing the event. I was so touched and rushed out to receive the gift. It consisted of a cushion, bear, thumbdrive, USB fan (all branded under DHL) and a swatch watch. So happy :)
When the cake was finally pushed out, the bosses were v happy. We also presented the cards that we hand-made for them. It was a nice sight then :)
After cutting the cake, din even have time to eat and they started packing up and rushing down to the lobby to take the bus to the terminal. It was such a 'kan cheong' sight :)
After everyone left, there were still 20 over of us who had personal extension. Went back to our rms to wash up and had seafood dinner. It was v affordable. 19 of us; each pax S$23.
After dinner program was mj, games & drinks at 1 of the rms. Played till 3am and off to slp aftr that.
Saturday's program was SPA!!! My colleague had earlier booked the appt for Spa at a place half an hr away from our resort. Had a 2 and a half hrs treatment consisting of full body massage, steam bath, body scrub, body mask and lastly bubble bath. So shiok... And it costs ard S$55. I also did pedicure but price was almost the same here; at S$25.
Overall, a successful activity.... Relieved and glad :)
